Outdoor Wednesday - Christmas Windows in Germany

Please join Susan at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ to see all of the participants in this Outdoor Wednesday.
I suppose I should say this week is more like "Outdoors Looking In"!
While in Dusseldorf, Germany last week, I was fascinated by the Christmas windows at the department stores. The photos below are from one store in particular - Galeria Kaufhof . I was amazed at the detail. Precious displays depicting little stuffed animals wrapping presents, rolling cookie dough, and shoveling snow.
The following photos are from Heinemann's. Amazing chocolates and goodies including Champagne Truffels and Stollen with Marzipan!
Thanks for visiting me on this Outdoor Wednesday and a very happy Thanksgiving to you all!!

  3. Oh my gosh Karen,
Thank you so much for sharing those pictures! I grew up in Germany until I was eight - I have such fond memories of Christmases there. My 88 yr. old Dad and I were talking about going to Stuttgart this winter, but it isn't going to happen and I was so sad and disappointed. I long for the Kristkindelmart - so lovely and festive. I'm so glad you posted these pictures, I am flooded with warm memories!!
    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving

  8. The window displays are wonderful. I wonder how you got such great photos without people standing in front of you. I'd expect crowds of people to want to see these. :)
